Bruna Watanabe taught mathematics before she taught poker. She spent her early twenties in São Paulo tutoring university-entrance students through probability and logic — work that pays badly and teaches brilliantly, because a tutor learns fast that an explanation that cannot be executed under exam pressure is not an explanation at all. That standard followed her into poker.
She started playing online during Brazil's poker boom, in study groups where a dozen players shared one subscription to everything and argued about all of it. When solvers arrived she became the group's translator: the person who ran the sims, stared at the mixed strategies, and turned them into rules a tired human could actually follow on four tables at two in the morning. The role stuck. She moved to Florianópolis, kept grinding mid-stakes online cash and tournaments, and began coaching small groups — never as a guru, always as the person who does the simplification work others skip.
Her working library is a few thousand saved solver runs, tagged by the mistake that prompted each one, and years of student hand histories showing exactly where clean theory falls apart in practice. That archive is the source for most of what she writes here: GTO concepts explained from the ground up, range construction, what solver output does and does not mean, and working reviews of the study tools themselves — always from the seat of someone using them to prepare for real games, not to publish papers.
Watanabe is clear about what she is not. She is not a researcher and does not present herself as one; when a question needs an academic answer she says so and stops. She does not promise that studying will produce a win-rate, hers or anyone's. Her claim is narrower and, she would argue, more useful: strategy you cannot remember is strategy you do not have.
